A Beloved Fall Tradition Returns
September 18โ20, 2026
After a few years away, one of the Greater Fort Kent Area's favorite fall traditions is making its return.
The Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the Scarecrow Fest Revival, taking place September 18โ20, 2026, in conjunction with UMFK Homecoming Weekend.
This year marks the beginning of a renewed community tradition, bringing together residents, businesses, students, alumni, and visitors for a weekend that celebrates everything we love about fall in Northern Maine.
A Weekend of Community
Throughout the weekend, you'll find activities for all ages as our communities come together to celebrate the season. Whether you're creating a scarecrow, cheering on the parade, participating in the Crow Chase 5K, exploring local businesses, or enjoying live entertainment, there will be something for everyone.
Planned events include:
- Community Scarecrow Contest
- Scarecrow Parade
- Crow Chase 5K
- Crow Crawl
- Children's Coloring Contest
- Family Activities
- Community Awards
- And much more!
Celebrating Together with UMFK Homecoming
We're proud to partner with the University of Maine at Fort Kent as the Scarecrow Fest Revival coincides with UMFK Homecoming Weekend.
By bringing these two signature events together, we're creating a weekend filled with school spirit, community pride, local traditions, and opportunities to reconnect with friends and family while supporting businesses throughout the Greater Fort Kent Area.
We're Still Planning...
The Scarecrow Fest Revival is currently in the planning stages, and new activities are being added regularly.
Registration for contests, parade entries, the Crow Chase 5K, and other events will open soon.
Be sure to check back often as we'll continue adding event details, schedules, maps, registration links, and exciting announcements over the coming weeks.
We can't wait to celebrate fall with you!
