Acadia FCU Awards $17,000 in Scholarships to Five Outstanding Students
NORTHERN and EASTERN MAINE (July 28, 2026) – Acadia Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 scholarship program, awarding a total of $17,000 to five exceptional graduating seniors pursuing higher education.
Acadia FCU's annual scholarship program reflects the credit union's long-standing commitment to investing in students and helping them achieve their educational goals. This year, the credit union awarded four $3,000 Acadia FCU Scholarships and the $5,000 Peter Saucier Memorial Scholarship.
Recipients of the four Acadia FCU Scholarships were selected through a competitive application process that considered academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, a written essay, and personal accomplishments.
The Peter Saucier Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of the late Peter Saucier, a cherished Acadia FCU Board member and community volunteer remembered for his kindness, generosity, and resolute positivity. Awarded annually to a graduating senior at Fort Kent Community High School, the scholarship recognizes students who reflect Peter's spirit of compassion, resilience, and service to others. The recipient is selected by a committee that includes at least one member of the Saucier family.
Recipients of the 2026 Acadia FCU Scholarships include:
- Carley Andrews, of Dedham, daughter of Anthony and Amy Andrews, who will attend the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, majoring in Exercise Science and Kinesiology.
- Zoë Daigle, of Fort Kent, daughter of Robert and Jessica Daigle, who will attend the University of Maine in Orono, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Ava Lerman, of St. Agatha, daughter of Douglas and Tammie Lerman, who will attend Husson University in Bangor, Maine, majoring in Physical Therapy.
- Wyatt Wilson, of Orrington, son of Zachary and Nikole Wilson, who will attend Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, majoring in Business Analytics.
The recipient of the 2026 Peter Saucier Memorial Scholarship is:
- Alden Reardon, of New Canada, son of Dan and Danielle Reardon, who will attend Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Maine, majoring in Marine Engineering Technology.

Acadia FCU encourages eligible high school seniors in the Class of 2027 to apply for one of its five annual scholarships. Applications will be available beginning January 15, 2027, at acadiafcu.org/scholarships, where students can find complete eligibility requirements and application information.
