Can-Am Crown International Sled Dog Race

The Can-Am Crown organization was established in 1992 to provide a mid-distance sled dog race to a growing community of mushers from throughout North America and to enhance the region’s image as a travel destination. The Can-Am Crown 250 (an Iditarod & Yukon Quest qualifying race) has rapidly gained popularity as the longest and most challenging race in the eastern United States. In the Greater Fort Kent area, Can-Am Weekend has also grown into a weekend full of activity for participants and spectators alike. Races are scheduled annually around the first weekend of March.
If you would like to view videos of past races, check out YouTube – there are several amateur and professional videos to watch.
