Welcome To The Scarecrow Festival
September 18-20, 2020
In an effort to maintain the safety and health of our communities, residents and visitors, as well as to pay respect to the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the State of Maine & University of Maine System, the UMFK Homecoming /Scarecrow Festival parade has been canceled for this year. Although our schedule will be limited, we will still host the Kids’ Coloring Contest & Business Decorating Contest. A few local organizations will also be hosting events and we will be adding a Facebook game to guess where our scarecrow is hiding himself within the Greater Fort Kent area.
We hope that since local businesses will not be decorating floats this year, we may get even more entries in our Business Decorating Contest, so come drive through on Friday, Sept. 18 and check it out.

Greater Fort Kent Kids Coloring Contest
CONGRATULATIONS WINNERS!
Coloring pages were given to students at the Fort Kent Elementary School & Dr. Levesque Elementary School as well as available through our website.
Completed coloring pages were posted at Paradis Shop ‘n Save in Fort Kent and judged by members of the Chamber Board of Directors. We had over 300 entries this year. Although it was difficult to choose with such great talent in the St. John Valley, these three images were chosen as winners. Congratulations!
